Solar Spot Lights

Make your garden night-friendly AND eco-friendly with this solar spot light.  The main problem with garden lighting is dealing with wiring, and replacing bulbs, and costs, and higher electricity bills, all of which are solved by this solar spotlight.  The spotlight is 9“ high and 6” across and doesn’t require any wiring (obviously).  It comes with both a stake-it-in-the-ground option and a wall-mounting kit so you can aim it any way you like, and it’s a cinch to install.

Put it in a sunny spot and it will run for 10 hours on a single charge (says the manufacturer) and in our experience it’s pretty close.  Of course, using LEDs means you won’t have to worry about changing lightbulbs because they last practically forever.  And at $20 – $30 a piece, with no wiring costs and no future electricity costs, these things are a smart buy.

The downsides?  Well, obviously as with any solar-powered lights, these spotlights are not the brightest.  If you want to be able to read in your garden at night, then don’t get these.  But the do provide great accent lighting for your garden, and more than enough light for safety and viewing purposes.  Plus, you could always get 30 of them without breaking the bank.

So our recommendation is to grab a couple and judge for yourself.
